I like that the episode start with a dramatic event and later goes to a more light-hearted, neutral tone and ends in quite an unexpected way.

Episode Context

This is the series opener for 'El-Hazard: The Alternative World,' meaning there is no prior episode to bridge from, everything begins here. The episode focuses on establishing the Water Temple, its key figures, and the social dynamics that will carry weight throughout the season. It directly sets the stage for the transport event that kicks the central adventure into motion in the episodes ahead.
