Synopsis

Few people can turn someone else's wedding prep into a dimensional catastrophe quite like Katsuhiko Jinnai. When Miz, the Great Priestess of Water, announces she's retiring to marry her beloved Mr. Fujisawa, a young successor named Qawoor arrives in the fantasy kingdom of Floristica to take her place. Jinnai, never one to miss a chance to cause trouble, uses the chaos of the initiation ceremony to sneak into Makoto's lab — and accidentally triggers some mysterious device that yanks the whole group into a completely different world. Think grimy industrial city, looming castle, no explanation. That's where episode one leaves you. The show is a TV series sequel to the El-Hazard OVA line, but it does a decent job easing newcomers in through the new setting. It leans into comedy more than drama — the character dynamics are built around petty rivalries, romantic awkwardness, and Jinnai being Jinnai. If you liked The Vision of Escaflowne or Fushigi Yuugi but wanted something lighter in tone, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Magic Knight Rayearth who appreciate group dynamics and isekai world-building will also find familiar ground here. It's a 13-episode run, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. The blend of fantasy and science fiction in the new world gives it a slightly different texture than your standard isekai, and the character relationships carry most of the weight.
