Episode Context

Picking up directly from the events of 'Trump Card,' where Goku committed to a high-risk strategy against Frieza, episode 93 deepens the suspense of that gambit while expanding the scope of conflict to King Kai's planet. Sitting roughly a third of the way through DBZ's 291-episode run, this is deep in the Frieza Saga's climactic stretch. It directly sets the stage for 'Power of the Spirit,' where the threads being pulled taut here are poised to snap.
