I seriously thought the gang would find a way to stop Earth from just getting blown to smithereens, so when it happened, my jaw dropped. Goku choosing to grab Dende and Mr. Satan over his own kids, even for the Dragon Balls, absolutely gut-punched me; I can't imagine having to make a decision like that. And Vegeta's heartbroken fury at Goku? That really hit me as a dad, seeing him lose it because he knows exactly what it's like to want to protect his own son.
