Goku calling Gohan a less handsome version of himself is the absolute limit of his dad energy and Vegeta looking like he wanted to crawl in a hole made it even better

i am still trying to process the fact that i just watched a literal family of giant worms give directions to goku and vegeta like they were lost tourists in a mall

I really did not expect the show to take such a hard turn into gag humor during this arc, but Buu needing a bathroom break in the middle of a desert was hilarious, and the way his hunger actually saved the guys by turning those clones into giant pieces of cake was so bizarre and I love that Toriyama still does this even now

Poor Mr. Satan and that puppy had to deal with the absolute worst part of Buu's bathroom break and his reaction to the smell was the only funny part of that whole scene

Piccolo and Gotenks getting the drop on Vegeta while he was stuck in a chokehold felt surprisingly dangerous until they just turned into bread and cupcakes head of the real pods

That Gohan clone really held his own against Goku until the mind trap started glitching and the beam struggle looked great even if it was just a fake version of his son

This episode definitely feels like filler because the pacing slows down so much while they wander through the organs and talk to worms, it was weird seeing the Gohan and Gotenks clones just turn into desserts because Buu wanted a snack, and seeing that Batman comic reference makes so much more sense now that I have seen Vegeta being terrified of worms

Those pink pods hanging from the ceiling finally gave us a real goal and seeing Trunks and the others trapped in there made the whole gross trip through the stomach feel worth it

I thought the Gohan clone was actually going to be a problem, but then Buu got hungry and turned him into a giant piece of strawberry cake

Buu stopping everything to find a portable toilet in the middle of a desert is the most ridiculous thing this show has ever done and the aftermath for Satan was just gross

Watching Goku try to play nice with that huge worm father was such a weird turn for him and hearing them talk about their kids inside a stomach felt like a total fever dream

Vegeta losing his cool over those giant worms was something I never expected and he looked so genuinely disgusted by them it made me laugh because he is usually so tough

Seeing those empty clones turn into giant desserts was hilarious because it shows how Buu really just thinks about food above everything else and the way Goku was laughing at the Gohan cake slice while Vegeta just looked annoyed made the whole weird trip through the stomach worth it and finding the real Gohan and Piccolo in those pods was huge

This whole sequence felt like a weird fever dream and the white liquid flood was just nasty for no reason even if the training remark was funny

It was a nice change of pace to see Goku and Vegeta bickering again after being fused for so long, and their back-to-back stand against the clones looked great

It felt like such a relief for me when they found the pods with Gohan and the others because the mission inside that fleshy body was getting gross

I really felt for Vegeta in this one, because being stuck inside a giant pink monster while Goku makes jokes and talks to worms sounds like a nightmare

The way those clones had those empty glassy eyes was actually pretty creepy and it made the fight feel way more unsettling than a normal brawl

Watching those clones turn into giant pieces of cake because Buu was hungry outside was the weirdest twist but at least they found the pods

Vegeta having to deal with talking worms is something you never knew you needed and his face when they started apologizing was just too good

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 274 lands in the late Buu Saga, the final major arc of Dragon Ball Z, where the heroes are dealing with Majin Buu's escalating threat in increasingly creative and desperate ways. As a filler episode this late in the run, it exists between pivotal canon moments and does not advance the primary storyline. The episodes surrounding it push toward the series' climactic resolution, so viewers can treat this as an optional pit stop before the endgame.
