Episode Context

Directly following the Saibamen skirmish, episode 24 escalates the Saiyan Saga dramatically as Nappa steps onto the battlefield and demonstrates the terrifying gulf in power between himself and Earth's warriors. This is the middle stretch of the saga's climactic battle sequence, bridging the earlier warm-up fights with the devastating sacrifices and critical turning points still ahead. It sets the stage for the next episode, 'Sacrifice,' where the consequences of this power imbalance become even more devastating.
