That score when the fight started actually gave me chills and seeing them both go Super Saiyan 2 at the same time was intense

Goku trying to talk sense into Vegeta while they are both powered up to the max is useless because Vegeta has been waiting for this rematch for years and won't stop

I still cant get over Vegeta choosing to let Babidi control his mind just so he could finally settle things with Goku. He looks so unhinged with that M on his forehead

Vegeta is being so selfish right now and those scenes of him and Goku punching each other into rocks look so sharp compared to the last few episodes

Watching Goku and Vegeta trade blows while Gohan is trying to find the egg is stressful because every hit just brings Buu closer to waking up

My stomach dropped when Gohan and the Supreme Kai finally found that giant egg in the basement and you can just tell something terrible is about to come out of it

It is actually wild that the fight we have been waiting for since the Saiyan Saga is finally happening like this. Seeing Goku and Vegeta just absolutely wreck each other in Super Saiyan 2 is brutal, but seeing that energy meter for Majin Buu fill up makes the whole thing feel so much more dangerous because they are helping the villain

The way Vegeta talks about his lost pride and needing to be a ruthless warrior again while he fights Goku shows how much he hates being second place

Vegeta really just murdered all those people at the stadium to get Goku to notice him and now their energy is basically feeding the monster they are supposed to be stopping

Babidi just laughing while the energy from the fight pours into the cocoon is the worst part because Goku and Vegeta are too focused on each other to even notice

Vegeta has definitely lost it and the way he is willing to risk the entire world just to settle a score with Goku shows how much he still hates being second best

The way the ground breaks when they hit each other looks amazing for this arc, and it makes the fight feel way more brutal than their first encounter back on earth

I honestly felt for Vegeta when he was talking about his pride and how much it kills him that a low-class warrior like Goku is always one step ahead, and even though hes doing something terrible by helping Babidi you can tell he just wants to feel like a prince again after being humbled for so many years during the Cell saga

Seeing both of them go Super Saiyan 2 at the same time and realizing they are perfectly matched made the choreography of the fight feel so much more impactful

That part where Vegeta explains why he let Babidi take him over just to close the power gap with Goku felt so desperate and real for his character

I was watching that whole exchange of punches between them and thinking about how Vegeta has been holding onto this anger for years just to get this one chance to prove himself

Gohan and Supreme Kai trying to rush down those halls while Goku and Vegeta are busy settling their personal grudge really adds to the pressure because Buu is getting stronger every second

The way Goku and Vegeta were just trading massive blows at Super Saiyan 2 made the energy gauge for Majin Buu fill up way too fast and it was stressful to watch

I still cant get over Vegeta saying Gokus breathing is an assault on his honor and he sounds so genuinely hurt by everything Goku has accomplished while he was away

You can feel the sheer desperation in every punch Vegeta throws and it makes the whole fight feel so much more personal than their first battle on Earth and even though Babidi is technically in control it is clear that Vegeta is doing this for himself and his own pride while the threat of Majin Buu just keeps looming in the background

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 230 of 291, this falls squarely in the Buu Saga's middle stretch, where long-simmering character tensions and rivalries reach their boiling point amid the larger threat looming over Earth. Previous episodes have been layering anticipation through tournament events and escalating confrontations, and this episode delivers on that momentum. What unfolds here carries significant consequences for the battles and alliances that define the saga's intense back half.
