That full moon transformation, and realizing the sheer destructive capability it represented, genuinely shocked me. To think the Saiyans, still living in caves, could wipe out an entire advanced civilization in one night just highlights the terrifying power that flows through Goku, even now.

goku hitting gregory was so satisfying after he struggled with that heavy hammer for so long and it shows how much faster he got in that gravity

Watching Yamcha and Tien exchange those high speed blows at the palace makes it feel like they might actually have a chance against the invaders

i actually felt bad for gohan when he was trying to climb that cliff while piccolo just watched and yelled at him

Goku being so disgusted by his own ancestors makes his choice to protect Earth feel way more powerful and he is definitely nothing like those ancient space pirates

Baba seeing only darkness and death in her crystal ball really set the tone for how bad things are going to get and Vegeta is only one day away now

I was laughing so hard when Goku accidentally smashed the car with the hammer and then King Kai just fell to his knees in the grass crying

Learning about Planet Vegeta and the Tuffle war was a big moment for me, even if some people say it contradicts what comes later and hearing that the Saiyans were basically space pirates who stole their technology makes them feel way more dangerous than just being strong warriors, and Goku having to process that his people were monsters was a heavy scene

I cannot believe how brutal Piccolo is being to Gohan and it actually hurts to watch that poor kid trying to climb the cliff with bleeding fingers

It is wild that the Tuffles had all that technology and still got wiped out by a bunch of giant monkeys in a single night, the power difference is terrifying

Those primitive looking Saiyans in the flashback looked so weird and wild compared to the high tech armor we usually see them wearing

King Kai really just lied to Goku about his planet getting hit by a god with meteors and it is weird that he would do that to his own student like that

Oh man, I was so relieved when Goku finally squashed that Ginyu bug on King Kai's tiny planet, 'cause honestly, I was starting to think it would never end after all that chasing! It felt like forever, but seeing him pull it off after all that training really got me hyped.

Whoa, when Goku actually managed to nail Gregory with that hammer, I was genuinely surprised by how much progress he'd made! All that insane gravity training must have been brutal, but man, my boy's leveling up faster than I even thought possible!

Woah, that flashback King Kai zapped into my head, showing Saiyans morphing into colossal apes and just annihilating the Tuffle cities, totally gave me chills. It’s wild to think that same raw, destructive power is part of Goku’s past, and I’m definitely a little nervous for what that means when Vegeta finally gets here. Though, King Kai's meteor story felt like a quick patch-job, like even *he* wasn't entirely sure how those transformations happened, which kinda cracked me up.

When Fortuneteller Baba's crystal ball just showed pure fire and death, my stomach dropped because it makes me wonder if all of Goku's training and everyone's preparation for the Saiyans is just gonna amount to nothing. I can't even imagine what kind of power could lead to that kind of vision, seriously, it feels like they're walking into a slaughter.

While Goku's hammer antics with that grasshopper were kinda amusing, a part of me is seriously wondering when the real fight's gonna start. My hype for those Saiyans to finally land and just cause some total mayhem is at an all-time high, can we get to it already?!

Wait, King Kai said a *god* blew up Planet Vegeta with meteors? That feels super off to me, like, we were told it was Frieza and now this? I'm kinda frustrated because it makes me wonder what actually happened, or if he's just trying to cover something up.

Piccolo really didn't hold back, just tossing Gohan into that canyon; I definitely winced seeing him struggle. It's messed up, but I actually get why he's doing it – he's trying to forge this kid into a warrior, which is completely wild coming from the demon king himself.

This new take on the Tuffle's downfall left me scratching my head a bit, you know? My mind immediately went to all those times we heard the story differently, and now I'm wondering if everything we thought we knew about that whole planet explosion was just... a partial truth, or if they're outright changing things up on us now.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 20 sits firmly in the King Kai training arc, following Goku's successful capture of Bubbles in the previous episode and escalating his preparation against the approaching Saiyan threat. The Saiyan backstory introduced here becomes foundational context for everything that follows when Vegeta and Nappa arrive. This episode directly sets up Goku's next major milestone—learning the Kaio-ken technique—bridging the gap between basic training challenges and the power-ups he'll need to survive.
