Episode Context

Episode 195 lands in the stretch between the Cell Saga's conclusion and the buildup to the Buu Saga, a gap DBZ fills with filler content centered on Goku's time in the Other World. The major canon beats, Cell's defeat, Goku's sacrifice, are already behind us, and the seven-year time skip leading to the World Tournament and Buu's emergence is still ahead. This episode is part of that bridge content, offering standalone adventures that don't connect to what comes next in the manga-based storyline.
