Episode Context

Episode 193 lands squarely in the resolution phase following the Cell Saga, one of Dragon Ball Z's defining arcs, dealing with the immediate fallout of the climactic battle and the use of the Dragon Balls to address the destruction and loss suffered. The episodes before this carried the full weight of the final confrontation with Cell, and the wishes being made here serve as the bridge between that saga's conclusion and the transition toward what eventually becomes the Buu Saga. This is a pivotal cooldown episode that closes out major emotional threads while recalibrating the series' direction.
