I still cant get over Goku choosing to stay dead because he thinks he attracts villains and it made me feel so bad for Gohan and Chi-Chi who just want him home

Eighteen calling Krillin a weirdo but still showing him that bit of affection was a huge turnaround and it was so sweet seeing them together after the dragon left

My eyes actually started watering when Goku started explaining why he had to stay away and the look on Gohan's face when he realized his dad was gone for good

Gohan walking through the woods with Ox King felt like such a quiet breath of fresh air after all that fighting and stress from the Cell Games

Mr Satan actually taking credit for killing Cell is the most frustrating thing ever but it totally fits his character to lie to the entire world like that

The mood of this episode felt so final because everyone was saying their goodbyes, and it almost seemed like the story could have ended right here and Goku choosing to stay dead is such a heavy choice for Gohan to deal with, but seeing Trunks head back to his own timeline with enough power to save his world finally felt right

It really got me when Trunks said his goodbyes, especially after seeing how much he changed since he first showed up to warn everyone about the androids

Shenron not being able to turn them into humans was a weird technicality but at least they can live normal lives now without worrying about blowing up at any second

Watching baby Trunks finally take those first steps while his future self was getting ready to leave felt like a perfect way to close this chapter and move on

Krillin asking Shenron to take the bombs out of those two was so kind and seeing eighteen give him that little kiss on the cheek made the whole episode for me

I still can't believe Goku is just staying in the afterlife like that because he really thinks the world is safer without him and it breaks my heart seeing Chi Chi cry her eyes out

The fact that Shenron has limits on turning the androids human makes sense and it is cool that Krillin still found a way to help them out instead of just giving up

Yamcha and the others teasing Krillin about his crush on eighteen was a funny moment after so much death and destruction and it makes the group feel like real friends

Gohan having to become the man of the house is bittersweet, especially with Goku giving that speech about how the earth is safer without him around

My heart sank when Trunks had to say his goodbyes because he finally found a family and friends who could actually keep up with him but he has a whole world to save back in the future and I know he can handle those androids now that he is basically a god compared to how he started this arc

King Kai being stuck with Goku forever in the afterlife is hilarious and poor guy just wanted his house back but now he is babysitting a saiyan for eternity

The fishing scene with Gohan and his grandpa was a nice break from all the screaming and fighting and it felt good to see some normal life for once

It made me respect Krillin so much more when he asked to take the bombs out of the androids, and it was a really smooth way to show he cares about eighteen without being weird

Chi Chi crying is so hard to watch because she is usually just a strict mom and now she is just a person who lost her husband

Trunks going back home with all that power is the best closure he could get after all the hell his timeline went through and he looks so much more confident now

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 193 lands squarely in the resolution phase following the Cell Saga, one of Dragon Ball Z's defining arcs, dealing with the immediate fallout of the climactic battle and the use of the Dragon Balls to address the destruction and loss suffered. The episodes before this carried the full weight of the final confrontation with Cell, and the wishes being made here serve as the bridge between that saga's conclusion and the transition toward what eventually becomes the Buu Saga. This is a pivotal cooldown episode that closes out major emotional threads while recalibrating the series' direction.
