Krillin is actually insane for trying to stall Cell alone like that because we all saw how that monster just melts people into husks and it is actually terrifying to watch

I am so hyped for this new power Goku mentioned and he just woke up but is already planning to blow past Vegeta so the training is going to be intense

Goku finally waking up felt like the biggest weight off the world because he was out for so long and Cell is just out there destroying entire cities

I finally feel like things are picking up now that Goku is back and talking about going beyond a super saiyan or whatever that means

Goku being back on his feet changes everything. He just woke up and he already has a plan to beat Vegeta to the next level of power and his return made me feel so much better about the situation

Cell escaping Piccolo and Tien again is getting a bit old. The guy is just a giant bug that keeps flying away and it is starting to get frustrating seeing the Z fighters fail to catch him

Watching Cell act like a total horror villain right now is great, and those sounds of him absorbing people are just nasty. Krillin was so brave for stepping up against him to save those kids and it felt like a total win. Goku waking up and immediately wanting to go beyond Super Saiyan is the exact energy we needed.

Goku and Chi-Chi actually being affectionate for once was really nice to see. It feels like a rare moment where they actually act like a married couple before the world ends again

The sound effects for Cell absorbing people are genuinely horrifying and it makes him feel like a real monster. Seeing Goku wake up at the end was the highlight though because the atmosphere changed immediately

My heart actually stopped when Cell almost grabbed Krillin. He is usually just the comic relief guy so it was intense seeing him put his life on the line for those two kids

The pacing felt a bit slow today, but seeing Piccolo and Tien show up just in time to save Krillin was great. It is just annoying that Cell manages to slip away every single time.

Cell realizing this timeline is different from his own is such a cool detail. It makes the stakes feel way higher now that the future isn't a reliable roadmap for the heroes anymore

I felt so sick hearing those wet noises when Cell was draining people. Krillin is a total hero for jumping in to save those kids and using the solar flare to get away from that freak

Goku is finally awake and he is already talking about surpassing Super Saiyan. That implied kiss with Chi-Chi was so sweet and it makes those Super jokes about him not knowing how to kiss look really stupid now

Goku talking about finding a power even higher than a Super Saiyan is a huge moment and it makes those scenes in the bedroom feel like the real starting point for this fight

Goku finally getting over that heart virus is such a huge weight off my shoulders, because the show feels so different when he is sidelined and I loved that little moment where he picks up Chi-Chi and swings her around before talking about training and it makes me wonder what he means by going beyond a regular Super Saiyan

It is honestly terrifying how Cell just absorbs people in broad daylight at the airport and nobody can really stop him besides Krillin trying his best

Seeing the androids just casually driving through Mount Paozu while the world is ending feels so strange and it makes them seem way more unpredictable than past villains

That Faulconer music kicking in when Goku finally stepped outside made me so happy because it makes his return feel like the most important thing happening right now

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting roughly at the midpoint of Dragon Ball Z's full run, episode 146 lands squarely in the Cell saga's escalation phase, directly following the discoveries made in 'Laboratory Basement' that revealed the full scope of the android threat. This episode serves as a critical bridge — the protagonists regroup and commit to a new strategy after being outpaced by Cell's evolution. It sets the stage for the iconic 'Time Chamber' training arc, where Goku, Vegeta, and others push beyond their limits in preparation for the decisive battles ahead.
