Episode Context

Coming off the devastating setback of Gotenks' absorption by Buu, episode 46 pivots from loss to counterattack as the Supreme Kai devises a new plan and Goku returns to the fight. It serves as the bridge between the heroes' darkest hour and the introduction of a bold new strategy to confront Buu's escalating power. This sets the stage directly for the next phase of the conflict, where a unique warrior combination will be explored as potentially the last hope.
