Episode Context

Positioned roughly three-quarters through the Final Chapters, this episode follows Gohan's triumphant return and his seemingly decisive upper hand against Buu, then dismantles that advantage through Buu's strategic cunning. It marks a critical turning point in the Buu saga where raw power alone stops being enough, forcing the heroes back to the drawing board. The events here directly set up the desperate measures and new alliances required in the arc's final stretch.
