Episode Context

Coming directly off Goku's decisive victory over Bergamo, this episode escalates the inter-universe tensions by introducing Toppo as a major antagonist force from Universe 11, putting a face on the opposition ahead of the Tournament of Power. It serves as a critical bridge between the exhibition matches and the full preparation arc, where each universe begins recruiting their ten strongest warriors. This encounter plants seeds for Universe 11's significance, particularly the Pride Troopers, that will pay off dramatically throughout the tournament's later stages.
