Episode Context

Episode 28 serves as the launching point for the Universe 6 saga, pivoting cleanly away from the Resurrection 'F' arc that preceded it. It introduces the multiverse concept and the rivalry between Beerus and Champa, laying essential groundwork for the inter-universe tournament that will drive the next stretch of episodes. For long-term viewers, this is where Dragon Ball Super begins charting genuinely new narrative territory beyond the retold movie arcs.
