Episode Context

Following episode 17's setup where Goku commits to training under Whis, this episode delivers on that promise by planting both Saiyan rivals on Beerus' planet and establishing the comedic training framework. Sitting early in Dragon Ball Super's 131-episode run, it serves as a bridge between the Battle of Gods aftermath and the approaching Resurrection F arc, laying essential groundwork for the power escalation that will define the next major conflict.
