Senku's explanations are always simple but fitting for the scenario! His description of how sound waves travel was unexpectedly detailed and cohesive, which gave their next invention a ton of extra weight/importance in execution.

This episode was OK, not much happens in terms of plot or progression with the antagonist, but it feels like a much needed break from all the action involving Hyoga at the bridge across the past few episodes. We got to see more of the lighthearted interactions from the main cast.

Most of this episode was based around the cotton candy that Senku made, kind of like the ramen plot earlier but with cotton candy and more prolonged this time. The whole sharing thing with Homura felt a little unnecessary as well, since nothing really came of it.

Senku is building a smartphone in the Stone Age. Everyone’s losing it. like making sonic get in stone age. Watching them make a vacuum tube from a lightbulb is peak science fiction.

This is peak Senku confidence. Kohaku trusting him without hesitation stood out. Chrome believing in science instead of doubting it hit different. The squad feels tighter now.

Gen playing with cards while scheming? Peak trickster energy. Animation on his sly smiles smooth. Atmosphere shady but fun. His mental game had me like “this guy’s dangerous but entertaining”.

Episode 20 shifts into full rebuild mode as Senku and the team push toward their next major technological leap. The focus on problem-solving and teamwork keeps it engaging, and you can really feel the Kingdom of Science gaining momentum.

Building modern tech in the stone age is a massive flex (say that to einstein). The montage was cool. It’s crazy how this show makes you smarter ngl, i already feel smarter lol.

Dr. Stone episode 20 introduced some pretty major inventions: the gear, the water wheel, gold thread, and most importantly, cotton candy. That was impressive.

Recreating Cotton-candy in stone world "sugoii" . Plus Chrome idea of creating water-wheel surprised senku but not that surprised lol

The creation of electricity is a major visual milestone. I love how they use light and sparks to show progress. The energy in the animation is infectious and exciting.

This episode feels intense and satisfying — the buildup from the past few episodes really starts paying off.
There’s a strong mix of action and clever science, and the tension stays high almost the whole time.

this episode of Dr. Stone is really nice and easy to enjoy. The team works together, and you can feel their trust growing. Senku Ishigami stays calm and smart. It shows how science and teamwork can solve problems. It’s fun and heartwarming.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting four episodes from the season finale, 'The Age of Energy' continues the technological escalation that ramped up in 'To Modernity,' pushing the Kingdom of Science from conceptual breakthroughs into practical, high-stakes applications. This is a critical build-up episode — the inventions and infrastructure established here directly feed into 'Spartan Crafts Club' and the confrontations that will define the season's climax. With the endgame approaching, this episode bridges the mid-season innovation arc with the final stretch's payoff.
