Honestly Hyoga and Homura's plan didn't make that much sense to me. If they wanted to corner all of them and leave Senku with no options, they could've done literally anything but follow them into a mysterious/unfamiliar area.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 19 of 24, 'To Modernity' lands squarely in the escalation phase of the Stone Wars conflict, building directly on the Kingdom of Science's preparations against Tsukasa's empire. It serves as a critical pivot point, translating the earlier strategic groundwork into direct confrontation while setting up 'The Age of Energy,' where the focus shifts toward new technological breakthroughs. This is the stretch where the season commits to its endgame trajectory, making it essential viewing for everything that follows.
