READTHROUGH
Haru's Awakening and the Moth
Haru lies in a grimy bathtub, the red crosses under his eyes stark against his pale skin. He pulls a wooden tag, a tiny moth-like object, from his bandaged arm, a strange, quiet act of self-extraction. Tetsujo, another man with similar markings, watches from the doorway. Haru asks, "How is Ris doing?", then later wonders if the moth knows who killed Ris. This intimate moment establishes a deep, unspoken bond and a past loss.
The Feast and Shin's Revelation
Nikaido, bound and captive, observes a macabre dinner scene: Tetsujo serving a shrouded Shin with grotesque "parts." Her unexpected exclamation, "Oh! Ravioli!", adds a surreal touch to the dark ritual. When Dokuga Adult mocks her, revealing, "it's your partner's mask," Nikaido breaks free with startling force, triggering Shin's terrifying transformation into a stitched, monstrous being who devours Dokuga Adult whole.
Shin's Plea and Nikaido's Fall
The monstrous Shin struggles, his voice raw as he commands, "Nikaido... search for her!" But Haru, covered in blood and grief-stricken, believes Shin is at his limit, crying out, "This is too much... I'm at my limit!" A paper airplane falls, and a window pane crashes down, revealing Nikaido suspended outside, bleeding and gravely injured. Haru rushes to her, but the scene is a tableau of desperate loss and escalating chaos.
The Giant Awakens
Haru discovers a bottle, reading its label aloud: "Giantification Magic?" This provides a direct cause for the horror unfolding. Shin then erupts into an even vaster, destructive giant, tearing apart the house as Haru and Tetsujo flee in terror. Haru's agony is etched on his face as he sees Shin's weeping, melting visage in the flames, a vision of absolute despair before Nikaido's sudden re-appearance.
A Devil's Confession
Perched incongruously on a giant tree branch, Tetsujo speaks to Haru, now appearing in his human form, revealing, "You are the Devil now." He apologizes for what was done to Haru, acknowledging a shared, painful history. Haru offers Tetsujo a golden ring, saying, "It's okay. I'm glad you're alive. Here, this is yours, isn't it?", a gesture of forgiveness and acceptance, before Tetsujo flies away, leaving Haru alone in a moment of quiet, bittersweet relief.
The Survivors Return
At the charred remains of the house, Haru and Tetsujo find Nikaido and Shin unconscious but alive, a small mercy after the earlier devastation. Shin, still in his giant form, makes a confused remark: "I never got to meet the Doctor's wife... But I did." Haru asks, "What? You've already met her?", underscoring his fragmented state and Haru's own bewilderment.
Escape from En
Haru and Shin, the latter still a giant but now wearing an incongruous apron, venture into an abandoned subway station. Haru explains they are hiding from En, because "If he found you, he'd turn you into one of his partners again." Shin chafes, stating, "I'm tired of being En's partner." As they approach the 'Mastema' station, Haru remarks, "This is a subway station. It says 'Mastema' here," planning to steal since Shin has no money.
The Subway Vendor
Their trek through the subway is interrupted by Natsuki, a seemingly innocent vendor who introduces herself: "I'm Natsuki. I'm a new vendor working under Maki-san." Her cheerful demeanor is shattered by the sudden appearance of Maki, who brutally kicks Natsuki, an act of casual violence that signals the immediate danger they are in. The suddenness of the attack leaves Haru and Shin confused and on edge.
Maki's Cruelty
Maki orders Haru and Shin to follow him, revealing his intent: "The Cross-Eye Boss's followers want to kill us." But his true motive is betrayal, as he shoots down a confused Haru with a crossbow. When Shin demands, "Why would you do that?!", Maki replies chillingly, "He has a bounty on his head." Maki then proceeds to brutally stab the giant Shin multiple times, taking a picture of his agony before abandoning him to die.
EPISODE REVIEWS

Now we are introduced with the role of cleaner for En, Shin and Noi. The mystery of what exactly is the Sorcerer's job does still is unsolved, so I am excited to find out. Not to mention the diversity of what magic can do in the universe.

Shin and Noi steal the episode the moment they show up, menacing but weirdly chill, and their back-and-forth is hilarious. The mix of gore and comedy hits just right. En’s crew already feels chaotic in a good way. Messy, wild, but super fun to watch. Definitely a hit.
