Confuse on how the story goes. But, so far the good thing is seeing lizard being an MC lol

If only MAPPA actually hand-drew this, would be 10/10.

Glad that there is no intention in shying away from the gruesomeness, the action is done tastefully with all the clean slashes. Definitely a good first episode as I am still not sure which sides to take on but with enough info to keep going.

It's great with its chaotic vibe and dark, with a lizard headed guy that hunting sorcerer and the storyline that leaves mystery and hook you on immediately.

Dorohedoro Episode 1 throws you into pure chaos—WTF moments, bizarre characters, and a fast-paced story that barely lets you breathe. It’s unexpected and messy in a good way, though a bit all over the place with so many plot threads and introductions being handled at once.

Chaotic and Crazy cinema, I highly recommend this one for people who like something unique.

Pure chaos right from the premiere. The world feels gritty and lived-in, with magic used in some pretty twisted ways. The gore is stylized enough to keep you entertained without going overboard. It’s messy, intense, and honestly, a strong start. Definitely worth checking out.

It's quite action packed throughout. The dystopian, futuristic, and somewhat gloomy atmosphere contrasts with Kaiman's lighthearted humor. It's very interesting, tho I think it gets a little overwhelming at times.

We dive in straight into this grimy, gritty surrealist world with little to no explanations about anything and yet, that is what helps capture your attention and leaves you wanting more, to explore more and to find answers to these new questions about this world.

bro this show said "what if we threw everything at the wall" and it ALL stuck. the world is grimy and unhinged but in the BEST way. pacing's a lil chaotic but ngl that adds to the vibe

Caiman, a big lizard man. Dorohedoro is so much fun, literally the best. I really liked it.

I LOVE GARBAGE PUNK AND POST APOCALYPTIC WORLD IN AN ANIME SETTING! The introduction is so brutal and too much fun right away! Imagine the MC is a reptilian - iguana head, but in a human body with his best sidekick girl, I'm in!. I also loved the sorcery involved and magic doors!

Nah this intro is straight madness—lizard head dude biting people to check identity?? 😂 World is instantly brutal and weird. It’s messy but in a good way. Either you’re hooked immediately or this ain’t for you. 🐊

the vibe of this premiere is pure chaos. the world feels grimy and lived-in, with magic treated like a casual tool for sadists. the way the animation handles the gore is stylized enough to be fun without being too much.🔥

Imagine a dark, gritty version of Harry Potter. But add chaos, humor and a big lizard man. Dorohedoro is that and more. It grips you tight from the beginning and doesn't let go, it actually makes you beg for more.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the first of twelve episodes, this premiere is purely foundational — it introduces Caiman, Nikaido, the bleak world of Hole, and the sorcerer conflict that drives the entire season. There's no prior setup; the show trusts its audience to keep up as it establishes rules on the fly. Everything here — the central mystery of Caiman's identity, the power dynamics between Hole and the sorcerers — builds directly into escalating encounters and new antagonists in the episodes that follow.
