Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp

Okay, so we get a happy ending and all, but sooo much was never explored. This show really just focused on Elise and her career as a doctor. But all of the flashbacks, romantic tension, etc seemed to signal there was something more to everything, yet it went nowhere. Like when they kept showing flashbacks of Elise and her family dying in the past... they could've revealed that someone was disguised as Prince Linden or something since they have that magical tool to hide identities. I loved the setting, and the story was wholesome, but I think it had a lot more potential and the main storyline just fell flat for me.

We get a lot of intense moments in this episode! There was actually a part at the end that made my jaw drop lol. This show does a great job with action, but it's always a rare occurrence! I can't wait to see what happens next after the cliffhanger.

We finally got more time with Ron!! And OMG that hair flip 🤤 The incorporation of magic in this episode is really cool to see, and I wish they would touch on that more. Also, it felt like there wasn't enough romance between Elise and Ron, which was disappointing because it's already episode 10.

This episode was cute, but just so focused on developing the bond between Elise and Juliane that it made things feel very slow. Nothing really seemed of importance to the main plot.

Things slowed down as we focus on Graham's backstory. If Graham is feeling more emotion toward Elise, they should show way more of that by now. It's a little boring if he's just focusing on his studies.

Elise takes a big risk in the beginning which progresses her medical achievements. I loved how much time we got with Mikhail, he is so sweet! The cliffhanger at the end was interesting and I wonder how it will change the story going forward.

I loved getting more into the elegant themes of this show as Elise joined the royal family birthday celebration. It was wholesome to see her relationship grow with a former rival. And I am SO excited for officially meeting Mikhail. I really hope there is a love triangle coming soon LOL

THIS EPISODE WAS CUTEEE. I love seeing Prince Linden coming out of his shell as Ron. The ending was like a cherry on top of the cake too. I'm so glad we're starting to focus more on Elise's relationships rather than too much medical talk and situations.

We got to see Elise perform her talents under a more serious case with important characters, which made things feel more meaningful. I'm also enjoying the sneaky aspect of what Prince Linden is doing!

This episode was slow for me. Elise starts her career and nothing really felt super meaningful imo. Greyham is so cool though LOL I can't wait to see more of him!

They set the first episode up in such a cinematic way! I'm so curious about Elise's previous life and how it's all going to tie together. I don't think I've ever watched an anime with a plane crash, and it was an intense scene to start the show off, keeping you hooked for sure.
