Episode Context

Coming off 'Rekindled Feelings,' where Daisuke struggled with the mechanics and emotional weight of his transformations into Dark, this third episode introduces the series' first standalone supernatural threat, a cursed artwork, which deepens his understanding of what being Dark actually demands. It bridges the introductory phase into darker territory, setting the stage for episode four, 'Between Light and Darkness,' where the moral complexities of Daisuke's dual existence come into sharper focus. At episode three of twenty-six, the show is still establishing its formula but already signaling that each heist-style mission will carry escalating personal consequences.
