Episode Context

Coming directly off Episode 43, where the crew endured punishing trials on Mars, this episode brings the long-running conflict with the Dark Horror Army to its ultimate confrontation on Earth. As the 44th and final episode, it closes every major thread the series has built across its entire run. There is nothing after this, it is the definitive end of Sanshiro's journey and the Daiku Maryu's mission.
