Spooky, isolated murder-mystery vibes bring a sudden, dark tonal detour. The visual palette turns noticeably foggy and desaturated, drenching an empty mountain resort lake in ghostly blue and gray filters. The animation tracks the eerie, floating water apparitions beautifully, mimicking a classic horror movie layout that keeps viewers on edge.
I wasn't expecting horror episode for this anime at all. It worked out really well with all the horror elements in this episode. There were some genuinely freaky parts that got my heart racing. The subtle feeling that something was watching them, the amount of violence as well as the crazy expressions of the victims in the episode gave it an unsettling, but brilliant atmosphere. It came out of the blue to have a horror episode for an anime like this, but I loved it nevertheless, since I love watching horror anime. Definitely one of my favorite episodes so far.
Honestly, this story is much deeper than the last episode, the duos use search clues with mystery instead of fighting action. And the atmosphere gives goosebumps makes me mind-blowingvof pacing scenes
