READTHROUGH
The E-pulse World
The world is described through exposition, a futuristic landscape powered by human thoughts and emotions, the E-pulse. Devices called Saphotamas became ubiquitous, but this advancement also brought forth Digimon. These monsters thrive by consuming the very energy that powers humanity, casting a long shadow over progress.
A Glimpse of the Past
A brief, unsettling flashback shows Harumi Sone and his partner Commandramon in a dense jungle. Harumi's face is streaked with sweat beneath his helmet, while Commandramon, hidden in camouflage, weeps silently. Digital glitches distort the scene, hinting at severe danger and profound distress for both of them.
A Hungry Stranger
Tomoro, Kiyo, and Haruto find a collapsed figure, Harumi, on a desolate road. Their concern turns to surprise when the man's stomach growls, and he simply begs for food. Back at their base, Harumi devours a large pot of stew meant for someone else, then reluctantly introduces his partner, Commandramon, a stealthy soldier Digimon. Kiyo demands payment for the expensive meal, noting, "There's no such thing as a free lunch around here, buddy," forcing Harumi to agree to help them.
The Weight of Duty
Harumi and Commandramon are seen trying to fish on a broken bridge, highlighting their current destitution. A flashback then reveals a past military mission, where Harumi fired his handgun from cover while Commandramon waited, camouflaged. In that memory, Commandramon weeps, unable to continue the violence, and Harumi observes the profound toll of their "dirty work." Back in the present, Harumi explains to Tomoro that they are poor because they refuse to turn in Digimon for deletion, stating, "We don't delete Digimon. That's just the way we roll."
The Hunter Arrives
Suddenly, a "Crystal Cannon" attack shatters the ground near the group. Ryota Tenma and other TACTICS agents arrive on their Digimon, including Rampomon, to apprehend Harumi and Commandramon. Ryota mocks Harumi for his perceived emotional weakness, coldly asserting, "Life is a lot simpler when you just follow orders," and demands Commandramon's immediate surrender.
The Betrayal
A battle erupts in the warehouse district, with Hormozomon clashing against Rampomon. Amid the chaos, Harumi grabs Tomoro and pulls him away, insisting on a tactical retreat. He leaves an injured Commandramon behind, ignoring Tomoro's horrified screams for the abandoned partner, as Ryota watches them flee, seemingly satisfied.
The Unspoken Past
Back at their base, Tomoro confronts a furious Harumi about his perceived cowardice. Harumi admits that he and Commandramon were once elite TACTICS agents, worn down by the organization's relentless demands. A flashback shows Commandramon's stealth skills in action, infiltrating a high-security city, as Harumi explains that TACTICS won't delete Commandramon yet, needing his rare abilities.
A Risky Proposition
Harumi offers a deal: if the group helps him rescue Commandramon, he will pay them with hidden money. Kiyo and Haruto, initially skeptical, are swayed by the prospect of desperately needed supplies, and they begin to plan the rescue. As they prepare outside the TACTICS warehouse, Tomoro expresses deep doubts about trusting Harumi. Gekomun playfully licks Tomoro's face, reminding him that Harumi has saved his life twice, suggesting a deeper, unspoken truth.
Confronting Ideologies
Tomoro and Harumi enter the warehouse and are immediately confronted by Ryota. Tomoro challenges Ryota, asking if he possesses any feelings beyond blindly following orders. Ryota remains cold, asserting that suppressing emotions is the only way to be effective and survive in their harsh world, dismissively calling Tomoro, "You really are an idiot."
The Surge of Emotion
Tomoro's desire to save Commandramon and refute Ryota's cold ideology causes his E-pulse to surge. This intense emotional outburst triggers Gekomun's evolution into Hormozomon. The new Digimon, glowing with vibrant pink and neon green energy, fills the warehouse with brilliant light, signaling the start of the true confrontation.
The Chase Begins
Harumi quickly takes the wheel of Kyuzo's yellow car, speeding away from the warehouse as a calculated distraction. Kiyo and Haruto brace themselves in the back seat, ready for the chase. Ryota immediately orders his units to pursue the car, falling for the initial part of Harumi's intricate plan. A high-speed chase unfolds on the broken highways, with Woolvermon deflecting energy beams and explosions erupting behind the swerving vehicle.
EPISODE REVIEWS

More emphasis on the Tactics squad, and it potrays them as a formidable + a morally gray enemy for the Glowing Dawn to butt heads with.

Tomoro slowly improving is noticeable I’m curious if this momentum will last.

Tactics Team is so suspicious I cannot. Letting things evolve on purpose is insane behavior.
