With episode 7, the roles are reversed. It is heartbreaking watching the humans’ lack of control as demons begin to show feelings such as empathy. It is a heavy watch to say the least.

The makers have done a fantastic job a t capturing the human condition in a world split into two identities. Its an all out war between humans and demons. Ryo's decisions are the worst!

I think demon here is our dark side we kept hidden. When we lose control of our demon urges, it manifest into our actions and we become monsters. And, a monster in real-life context refers to serial killers, terrorists, abusers, rapist, and others who inflict harm on people.
