Things took a dark turn suddenly! Heart breaking episode. Peak animation as usual but the direction takes the cake. Good watch overall. Some character development has been forced on Akira. The demon creature design is creepy and gives the chills in some scenes. On to the next!
Episode 4 is really heartbreaking. I have so much pity for Akira, his past and present are both filled with such pain. Just as they were about to reunite after so long, everything went wrong. This tragic thing makes me hate the cruelty of demons even more.
This episode seems to highlight the presence of a support system. They have their own struggles, but it feels less heavy when they have someone to turn to. Also, it shows that if one feels alone, life is still worth going on if there's someone or something to care for.
