I'm here for the mecha and I'm just going to ignore the yuri part. For a 2004 anime, the animation isn't bad at all. I quite like the action scenes as well. The pacing is also pretty good for a first episode.
World-building kaafi acha hai. Music aur sound design bhi is mystical vibe ko support karta hai. animation and Character designs and expressions bhai acha hain. aur episode kafi mysterious elements bhi hain.
I'm gonna start by saying that my reviews are gonna be a TINY bit biased, because this is one of my favourite yuri anime of all time. Another one from 2004, pretty amazing for its time; the animation is a little spaced out, but it's still good given the year. The soundtrack is decent, and voice lines are delivered well. I also LOVE how overly and unnecessarily dramatic this anime is. We got an introduction and jumped straight into action, so I'd say the pacing is decent. My man Souma might wanna look down and rethink his confession, though.
