The previous episode's action was a bit underwhelming and ended in a deadlock, so this episode picks up where it left off. Unfortunately, the action still doesn't feel as impressive as it did in Episode 1. At this point, you could say that Episode 1's action was just a one-off. The overall conclusion was a little lackluster, but it is still nice seeing Kanta get his just des(s)erts😏

This one stood just because of the little jokes and the musical storytelling intervention. Long scenes with sand. Maybe more plot developing is coming.

Episode Context

At episode 6 of 24, the series is still in its early stretch of establishing Desert Punk's world, reputation, and recurring relationships, particularly his dynamic with Junko Asagiri and the various clients and rivals that populate the Great Kanto Desert. The first handful of episodes built Kanta's persona as a cunning mercenary undone by his own vices, and this episode continues that foundation before the series begins threading longer-running plot threads in its second half. Expect the standalone adventure format to persist for a while longer before larger stakes and allegiances come into sharper focus.
