I really loved how they shifted to bright, lively colors, especially during the flexibility training. The music was pumped up and perfectly matched the chaotic, high‑energy vibe of the drill. It made me so happy to watch the Slayers develop

The start was comedic and light hearted, a nice break from the tense character interactions and events leading up to this. I personally wished Mitsuri's training arc lasted longer, though I feel like there would not be much to go off of.

The Hashira Training Arc is a bit more fast pace, this episode specifically seeing multiple Hashiras like Sanemi and Iguro and a bit more of their personality. Its definitely interesting since we haven't seen too much of them and their back story, but is hinting at more to come.

The flex training was good intro into this episode with little bit of humour. The episode build up with great connect and shift after that.

Finally an episode that actually does something. Animation stays clean. No big fights but the choreography in the Obanai segment is tight and Sanemi's aggression sells itself. Ready for Gyomei next.

Fatigue sets in and growth becomes psychological as much as physical. The episode emphasizes perseverance, making each small improvement feel meaningful. It’s demanding, but satisfying in a grounded way.

I loved how they changed it to vibrant colors especially during the flexibility training. They made the music upbeat that matches the chaotic energy of the drill. It made me so happy to see the slayers grow and find a moment of joy in this training.

The training reaches a more emotional phase as bonds between the Demon Slayers feel stronger. Tanjiro’s resilience continues to shine, while the Hashira’s expectations grow heavier. It’s steady, character-driven, and quietly builds tension for the looming final battle.

This episode gives characters room to breathe, and that makes us to understand emotions. The training feels more like transformation. The episode quietly strengthens the arc without any big moments. It is personally my favorite one.

passing through hashira training one after another this episode seem kind of dull at first but with the tension between sibling and zenitsu being zenitsu at the worst possible moments it certainly is worth the watch.

Sanemi is a little more aggressive in this episode. The training is super intense. It is more combat focused rather than conditioning. It really shows how intense Sanemi's methods are. Also very good character development. It shows how badly they actually want to become the best.

It had some scenes in it that was funny that made me laugh out loud. It was a diffrence from the usual tense atmosphere. Tanjiro as usual being himself always training to beat his opponent no matter who they are and him coming out of it learning something new.

Moving to the Love and Serpent domains. Mitsuri’s training is a giant, flexible dance party, while Obanai’s training is mostly him being jealous of Tanjiro. It's a mix of "Honey and Vinegar" that’ll leave you hungry and terrified.

Tanjiro enjoys Mitsuri Kanroji's flexible training—pancakes and brutal stretches that leave trainees screaming—before Obanai Iguro's obstacle course, dodging ropes and tied slayers while honing precision. Obanai protective jealousy towards Mitsuri and Genya demon eating powers.

Episode 5 flips from Mitsuri’s sweet dance to Obanai’s jealous "hell." It then hits a peak with Sanemi’s brutal, bloody sparring. Amidst the violence, Tanjiro risks everything to defend Genya, trying to mend the brothers' fractured bond despite Sanemi's rage.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the midpoint of the eight-episode Hashira Training Arc, this episode escalates the difficulty curve significantly after the more approachable flexibility training with Mitsuri Kanroji in episode four. Iguro and Shinazugawa's brutal sessions deepen the personal stakes between Tanjiro and the Hashira corps while building momentum toward the Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima's training, which looms as the final and most demanding hurdle before the endgame confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji.
