This episode was like watching a beautifully coordinated, chaotic symphony of blades and blood. Nonstop pressure from start to finish. And I really liked how it balanced Tengen's backstory with absolute chaos in the fights without killing the momentum. Also, Gyutaro is insanely unsettling every second he’s on screen.

Episode Context

Sitting at the three-quarter mark of the eleven-episode arc, 'Gathering' follows Episode 7's major reveals about the true nature of the Upper Rank threat and pivots the narrative fully into sustained combat. This is the bridge episode, the setup and investigation phases are over, and the corps must now fight as a unit against Daki and Gyutaro simultaneously. It directly positions the remaining three episodes to deliver the arc's climactic resolution and aftermath.
