Dead Account Episode 2
Review Summary
This emotionally potent episode delivers a character study of Soji Enishiro's grief and revenge, complemented by superb action and the intriguing Miden Academy debut.
👀 SPOILER-FREE SUMMARY
After the premiere's high-energy introduction, episode two downshifts into world-building territory with purpose. Soji Enishiro wakes up inside Miden Academy — a boarding school styled like a traditional Japanese inn where young exorcists train to wield Electronic Power against digital spirits. The tone trades raw action for curiosity and quiet tension as Soji navigates unfamiliar surroundings, meets new faces, and begins to grasp the academy's competitive structure, including rival class divisions and A-B Battle contests. SynergySP uses this breathing room to establish the rules of engagement for the supernatural system that will drive the rest of the season. Expect character introductions over combat sequences, though an undercurrent of unease keeps things from settling too comfortably. This is a setup episode, but one that earns its runtime by making the world feel lived-in and the stakes tangible.
