This one juggles a lot of information but mostly holds together. It finally feels like the romance is taking a backseat and a lot of emphasis is being laid on the supernatural lore aspect, really curious to know more about it.

There's a nice balance of flashbacks with the present to learn even more about Dardan's motives, & nothing becomes boring/confusing. The boys are on a mission to save Sooha now, so the tension is rising even more! Hopefully, the werewolves will work closer with the vampires soon.

The story now becomes interesting as it does not focus solely on romance anymore. The fight scenes are a bit short but I am hoping that the longer fights are reserved on the final parts of the story. The pacing was good.

This episode shows that their goal is now clearly to save Sooha. Along the way, many mysteries unfold, helping them understand who they truly are. Now things are getting serious. This episode is intense and chaotic, and the atmosphere is becoming heavier.

A mysterious black mist spreads across Riverfield, bringing a chilling sense of danger with it. As the town grows uneasy, Sooha finds herself pulled further into a conflict she tried desperately to avoid while the truth behind the supernatural chaos edges closer.

Looking past the flaws of this episode, the art and character designs are very detailed and the story pacing is good. Hopefully the next episode will be better in terms of, well, everything else...

I feel like the execution of this entire episode could have been done so much better. The energy felt flat, the camera angles weren't hitting, facial expression felt weird, excessive individual gasps were literally too much... Shame bc the plot is actually good

Story-wise, this looks like it's supposed to be a build-up episode, but tbh I wasn't feeling it. Even the action scenes felt like they dragged on longer than they should have.

Yabai, a railgun in a vampire anime?! Marine-senchou would go absolutely kusa over this title, but we literally have nothing to clip yet, chat, it's just pure brainrot speculation till it drops www

Episode 9 of Dark Moon: The Blood Altar, 'Misty Moon: The Black Mist of Railgun' cleared. Neutral on the score sheet, but the completion count rises. Backlog, consider yourself warned.

Sooha's drama is so predictable, like c'mon, the real interesting stuff is with the bloodlines and the ancient beef. 🧛‍♀️🐺

Another digital-colored, pretty-boy vampire school snooze-fest? Back in my day, we had the raw, hand-drawn grit of 'Vampire Hunter D' or 'Hellsing' on VHS, not this sanitized 'Misty Moon' nonsense with its clean lines and no real story. We used to have standards, kids. Mid, sadly.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 9 of 12, this chapter follows the antagonist-focused 'Old Moon: Vampire Lord' and directly precedes the combat-heavy 'Waning Moon: Mortal Combat in Automnal,' placing it as a transitional escalation point. The episode's positioning suggests it functions as the final buildup before the series commits to its climactic confrontations across the remaining three episodes. With three-quarters of the season behind it, this is where unresolved tensions should crystallize into the conflicts that define the endgame.
