Episode five of Dark Gathering Keitaro joins a university travel club to make some friends, but things get scary when they visit a notorious housing complex. Yayoi arrives to help after a dangerous spirit starts feeding on the souls of suicide victims.
That warning at the beginning definitely caught me off guard but after watching the episode, it makes complete sense. I'm really enjoying the series so far though honestly I'm becoming more curious about how Eiko and Kei's relationship is going to develop.
It hits different. The transition from a lighthearted college party to a grim urban legend setup feels totally natural. Fantastic writing, watching Yayoi work her creepy tactical magic, and the art during the ghost encounter are pure nightmare fuel.
