Davide was about to get ripped off of his upgrade, but upon knowing who the supplier was and the situation, Maine gave David one shot at being an Edgerunner. His trial was a data heist which went haywire and had to improvise but still got the job done.

While introducing Maine's crew is vital, this episode's pacing feels slightly disjointed. The sudden transition from David's intense emotional grief to a botched vehicle data heist feels a bit rushed. The animation during the Tyger Claw highway chase is stunning, but the narrative takes a temporary step back.

A great episode that helps to bridge David's origins into the overall story with a strong storyline, as well as assistance from great visuals, exhilarating action sequences, & a well-developed soundtrack.

David finally starts to learn the ropes of being an Edgerunner. With a crew to back him up, David learns through trial by fire, taking real steps into being a (violent) cog in the big machine that is Night City. Life starts looking up, but it's not all sunshine and chromes.

this ep is where the real chaos starts. Meeting Maine’s crew was a total trip. Rebecca is already a legend and watching David try to prove he’s not just some kid with stolen tech was intense. that moon BD date with Lucy at the end though? was beautiful and heartbreaking.

Seeing David finally step into the big leagues with Maine’s crew is such a vibe, and the chemistry between everyone is just perfect.
