The story still makes no sense. The characters are not really interesting. Due to some parts that have no subs, there were scenes that were unclear again. Although one can guess that prejudice and hatred for the Abh is rampant.

Things started to get interesting. The chemistry between them is instantly apparent. We get a slightly faster pace here. Visually, the episode does a fantastic job with character expressions and minor details. The dialogues are so well written, too.

The pacing of the story feels much more dynamic compared to the premiere episode, delivering a perfect blend of subtle situational comedy, mature sci-fi exploration, and the looming shadow of political tension.

Episode Context

Coming directly off the premiere's world-building heavy introduction, which framed the Abh conquest and Jinto's inherited noble status, this second episode pivots inward, trading exposition for character excavation. It sits in the crucial early window where the show establishes emotional stakes before the broader interstellar conflict escalates. What happens here between Jinto and Lafiel quietly determines the relational core the remaining eleven episodes will be built upon.
