Kono is such a piece of work for making her do that show while she was clearly a mess over her brother

My heart was actually breaking for Ami this time around because the way she processed Hiroshi getting married felt so grounded. I usually come to this series for different reasons but the drama during her first concert really grabbed me. Watching her try to sort out those feelings for her step-brother while Kōno is pressuring her into a marriage proposal was a lot.

That scene where she has to get on stage and sing while her world is falling apart because of Hiroshi was brutal to watch

Ami agreeing to marry Kono felt so wrong and you can tell her heart just isn't in it at all

I really felt for Ami when she found out Hiroshi is actually getting married and she just stood there looking so lost before that concert started

The whole feel when Ami realizes she has to let go of her brother is so dark and that concert performance felt like she was saying goodbye to everything

Kono being the one to pick up the pieces while Ami was at her lowest was a weird turn but it makes sense why she just gave in and said yes

Hiroshi getting married to someone else while Ami is still obsessed with him is the most depressing part of this whole story and the ending really hurts

The way Hiroshi just moves on to get married while Ami is falling apart in her dressing room was so brutal and it makes you wonder if he ever cared as much as she did

Ami standing on that stage and sorting out her life in front of a whole crowd was such a heavy moment and you could see the pain in her eyes the whole time

I was really struggling with Ami deciding to marry her producer because things with Hiroshi fell through, and seeing her break down during the concert while trying to find some closure was just painful to watch. It felt like she was just running away from her feelings instead of actually fixing anything and Kono definitely jumped in at the worst time.

Kono proposing to Ami right after she gets the news about her brother was some crazy timing and it made the whole backstage atmosphere so heavy

I felt so bad for Ami when she heard Hiroshi was getting married and her wanting to cancel the whole concert over it was such a sad thing to see

That final concert scene where Ami is crying while singing really got to me because you can tell she is still so torn about Hiroshi even though she chose a different path

Seeing Ami finally decide to accept Kono's proposal after that last talk with Hiroshi feels like the end of an era for this series, and it's definitely a bittersweet way to go out.

My heart actually hurt watching Ami struggle with those memories of Hiro. The show does a great job making you feel her isolation

The drama in this part gets pretty heavy, and seeing Ami try to piece her life back together after the mess of the last episode makes for a somber watch

I felt so bad for Ami during that phone call. You can tell she is just searching for something that isn't there anymore

That retro art style really carries the mood when she is just wandering through her own head and the music during the quiet scenes adds so much tension

Ami seems so lost after everything that happened last time. The way she stares out the window while thinking about her choices feels way too real

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving at episode 34 of 38, this is the third installment in Ami's concluding arc and functions as the calm before resolution — building directly on the personal revelations and emotional turbulence of Part 2. It transitions Ami's internal reckoning into territory that positions the fourth and final chapter for closure, making it essential connective tissue for anyone following her complete story.
