the soundtrack is the only reason to watch this and ami looks cute as a model but it is basically just a glorified slideshow for fans

thought i was watching the wrong file because there is no plot about the parents remarrying or any martial arts stuff and it is just ami modeling

The animation style is a total 80s time capsule, and seeing Ami just being an idol without the dark stuff is actually kind of refreshing for this series.

i actually liked seeing ami as an idol instead of the usual stuff and the music video style is pretty unique for an old ova like this

watching a cream lemon episode that has zero porn feels illegal and i kept waiting for something to happen but it never did

Ami is the heart of this whole series and seeing her get a dedicated interlude like this was a nice touch even if it was short

That idol transformation sequence was stylish and the whole thing felt like a fever dream in a good way

Not much happens in terms of action but the imagery of the white shadow stuff is pretty and it works as a breather before things get heavy again

I think the melancholy tone worked well for her story and it made me feel for Ami more than the previous episodes did because of how lonely she seemed

It is a bit slow for a short episode, but the visuals are surprisingly polished for something from 1985 and it gives Ami some much needed personality

The 80s aesthetic is so strong in this episode and Ami actually feels like a real person with feelings instead of just a tool for the plot

I really enjoyed seeing Ami get all that focus and her idol transition felt so different from the usual stuff and the art had such a cool 80s vibe

Ami looks so different in this one and her change into an idol actually makes her more interesting than just being some girl in an ova

I wasn't sure what to expect with an image video but this was actually pretty decent for Ami's character, and seeing her evolve into this idol figure is cool, and the soundtrack really fits that melancholic 80s aesthetic they were going for, and that overall mood really worked for me because it feels more like a music video than a standard episode

White Shadow was kind of weird but the music and the visuals for Ami were pretty nice and it bridges the gap to the next part well enough

It felt strange watching a Cream Lemon episode without the usual explicit stuff, but I really enjoyed seeing Ami focus on her swimming and martial arts instead of just being a love interest

This episode feels like a total fever dream because it is actually trying to be a serious drama and seeing Ami just being a normal high schooler for a bit was surprising

The shift from the usual stuff to this idol training focus is such a curveball and it makes the connection between the main Ami arcs feel way more earned than expected

Ami using her martial arts to keep Hiroshi in check is funny as hell and they are weirdly cute when they are just hanging out alone in the house

I was so confused that there was no smut in this one and then it turned into this weirdly sweet story about Ami becoming an idol and her martial arts stuff actually mattering for once

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at episode 27 of 38, this installment bridges the earlier 'Ami Again' chapter and the upcoming 'Ami III,' functioning as a reflective interlude within Ami's continuing storyline. It deepens understanding of her transformation into an idol figure, offering visual and emotional context that informs where her character is headed. Viewers following Ami's arc will find this a meaningful, if unconventional, piece of connective tissue leading into the next phase of her story.
