This anime did not disappoint when it comes to doing what you love and helping others. The characters are superb in motivating and having a backstory that captivates the watcher's attention. The style of art is very beautiful too, which made the cooked dish look delicious.

Episode Context

As Episode 1 of 52, this is pure foundation, nothing precedes it, and everything follows from it. Mao's backstory, his relationship with his mother, and his natural gifts are all being laid out here as the series' emotional bedrock. The episode directly sets up the larger journey of competitions, rivalvals, and self-discovery that will carry Mao across the full 52-episode run.
