The series somehow made a political uprising feel personal. Even with giant mechs and war everywhere, the emotional damage is still the main focus.

The pacing was wild 😭 one minute you’re mourning Euphy and the next Tokyo is basically turning into a battlefield revolution. Code Geass really thrives when it leans into moral chaos. Nobody feels fully right anymore and that’s what makes this stretch so addicting

This ep balances emotional grief and war escalation insanely well. Everybody’s suffering while the world keeps moving anyway.

This episode really hits hard sm, takes us in emotional rollercoaster. When we start to have hope on Princess Euphemia turns into sadness and pure tragedy. This is a powerful episode.

Another heavy episode. You really feel the emotions of every character, and it is hard not to sympathize with all of them. The emotional moments were portrayed well, and it now feels like everything is set for Lelouch to move forward with nothing holding him back.

another story continues, there's no other explanation for this sudden surge of ignorance. Suzaku is genuinely the biggest hypocrite imaginable. He hates killing but will kill his own kind in a heartbeat.

We’re back in the groove. The enemy throws a curveball and it actually works. Makes you pay attention without feeling forced. Finally, the story’s playing smart again 😏.

It was a great plot

EPISODE CONTEXT

Directly following the devastating fallout of episode 22's 'Bloodstained Euphy,' this penultimate stretch forces Lelouch to confront consequences that fundamentally alter every relationship and plan he's built across the season. It serves as the critical emotional and narrative bridge between that tragedy and the season finale arc beginning with episode 24, 'The Collapsing Stage.' Everything the first season has been building toward — the political intrigue, the personal betrayals, the moral compromises — converges here as the endgame takes shape.
