EPISODE REVIEWS

The pacing is absurdly fast but somehow it works because Lelouch’s plans always feel one step away from total disaster.

Episode Context

Directly following 'The Day a Demon Awakens,' where Lelouch reclaimed his memories and reassumed the mantle of Zero, this episode deals with the immediate fallout of that return and the steep challenge of reigniting a scattered rebellion. It serves as a critical bridge between his dramatic resurgence and the more personal, confined stakes of episode 3, 'Imprisoned in Campus.' As the second episode of 25, it establishes the strategic and emotional baseline for R2's opening arc.
