Clevatess Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Picture this: a demon king, a resurrected hero, and a baby walk into a theological school, and no, that's not a joke. that's the setup for Clevatess Season 2. After the first season established the unlikely trio of Clevatess (the King of Magical Beasts), Alicia (a hero brought back from the dead), and Luna (an orphaned infant they've been protecting), this second season drops them into the Solsnein Theological School, where elite students and institutional power structures create a whole new kind of danger. The wild, untamed world from before gets traded for hallways full of people who think they know what heroism looks like, which is a problem when your group includes a literal demon king traveling with a supposed hero. The subtitle translates roughly to 'The King of Magical Beasts and the False Hero Legend,' so expect the show to keep pulling at what it means to be a hero versus a monster, and whether anyone can really tell the difference. The character dynamics carry this: watching a creature of destruction try to protect a child while navigating human society hits in a way that fans of Dororo or The Rising of the Shield Hero will recognize. There's that same sense of outcasts being judged by a world that doesn't understand them. If Attack on Titan's moral gray areas appealed to you, Clevatess digs into similar territory but with a more intimate, character-driven lens. Lay-duce is handling production for this TV series arriving in 2026, adapting from the web manga source.

I did not sign up for the Margo illusion to hand my girl a bowl of soup and wreck me in the process. The cabin scenes were worse than the sword fight and I stand by that
Cant shake the feeling the finale is going to get rushed. One episode left and we still have the twins situation plus this whole pyramid thing plus a final battle. Lay-duce better have been cooking something big
Alicia telling her parents she has to leave and them just being proud of her is the ending her whole character needed. She finally let go of the version of home she's been chasing since she was a kid. Big feelings
Klen dropping that Vordin was the one pulling strings on the King of Hiden recontextualizes basically all of season one and nobody is talking about it enough
The pyramid line sent me down a rabbit hole for an hour. If their world is a construct or a layered prison then Clevatess has been playing the long game this whole time
Mary losing her crest while Ray keeps his is going to drive me insane until the finale explains it. If she gave it up to save Alicia I'm going to be a wreck about it
Feral Klen though. Dude actually loses his composure for once instead of standing there being mysterious. Loved seeing the shadows and fire go back and forth but that fight definitely moved slower than everything happening with Alicia
I keep thinking about that eyepatch detail in the mirror world. Everyone on reddit says it's her tether to reality and I think they're right. She saw her own scar and remembered who she actually was. Small thing but it unlocked the whole episode for me.
Alicia brushing her mother's hair while knowing she has to say goodbye ruined me. The show made me cry over a mom we barely even met before this. That's just unfair writing.
Genuinely makes no sense that the trial space got wrecked before Alicia could grab her second rune. She did all that emotional work and walked out with nothing but vibes. Robbed.
The dad carrying her on his back through the snow then the shadow watching them smiling is the nastiest thing the Demon Lord has done all season and I respect it
Kren finally showing up and Luna flying into his arms was the soft moment this heavy episode needed. also her joking about sleeping in his arms again before opening the gate got me smiling in the middle of all the doom
nobody warned me the hero resurrection temples were going to burst out of the ground worldwide. five of them at once. that global cut near the end gave me chills
I keep seeing people call the back half slow and I just do not get it. the trial stuff was slow sure but the pacing complaints feel like people forgot the first arc had its own filler. this ep finally paid all of it off
you can feel the whole story turning here. the true hero getting revived with all that blood behind it is clearly setting up the guy as the last boss and I love that the show is brave enough to go there
Vordin's shift from monster to something with an actual tragic past is what sold me. the flashback of the old human cities just crumbling with nobody even caring was bleak in a way I did not expect from this show
can someone explain the two Mileas thing because I am lost. which one is the real one. do we have a clone situation or did the timeline get bent. my brain hurts
the infants inside the Chimera Queen thing got me bad. empty shells with no souls and they still harvest them. that priest getting eaten right after he gave the order was the only good thing in that room
Seeing Clebates ditch the giant beast body for a blue haired humanoid in like two seconds was the wildest turn of the night. nobody in the episode was ready for it and neither was I
I did not sign up to watch a girl get forced to fight her own dead father in the snow. that mirror spell is the cruelest thing this show has pulled off and I am not okay about it
