Amasawa really gets on my nerve though I do think she will play a huge role later on. I feel like Ayanakoji is leveling up his image to everyone slowly and also learning how to be more human. Great episode but not on par with the previous ones.

Ayanokouji was almost making progress in romance before someone interrupted. Whole story is kind of slow and just waiting for their next mission. Ayanokouji finally gets serious. Scores 100% on the exam and shocks his classmates. How does he handle the interrogation? You need to watch to find out

The pacing is good in this episode. The way the focus shifts to the bounty on students makes the school feel way more dangerous than before.

Conflicts intensify as misunderstandings and hidden agendas create cracks within the classes. The episode emphasizes psychological pressure over physical confrontation, keeping viewers engaged through clever twists.

This episode was a bit frustrating, it left me hanging !! But it clearly sets up an exciting direction for the next episode, especially with the upcoming summer exam. I hope they include more romantic scenes between Ayanokoji and Kei, as their moments always seem to get interrupted by you guys know who.. 😅

The tension in the classroom was so high in this episode! I loved the sweet moments between Kei and Ayanokoji, even though Amasawa was being quite annoying lol. I'm really excited to see what happens in the upcoming summer exam!

The aftermath of the events in the last episode is touched on here as it should be. That part with Amasawa was especially creepy. The lighting really helped with that, and her dialogue will make any audience more intrigued about whatever she's plotting

I did not expect the plot to be moving along this nicely 😮 props to the writers! That new test reveal was a crazy cliffhanger too. Who would've guessed that (except the manga readers tho haha!)

The reactions of the classmates to Ayanokoji were very realistic, considering their set up in this school. But omg that Kei moment was a huge highlight, albeit having a frustrating outcome T^T

I was really hoping for more from this episode but the pacing felt a bit off like they rushed through some important parts from the light novel and cut out some content I actually liked, so I'm a little disappointed because the exam stakes are definitely high and Kiyotaka's plans are always interesting but something felt missing from the adaptation this time

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving at the season's midpoint approach, Episode 5 builds directly on the interpersonal fractures and power moves established in the preceding episodes, tightening the web of rivalries and hidden agendas. The episode's title hints at a transaction or valuation that carries significant implications for the class dynamics going forward. What unfolds here appears designed to shift the strategic landscape heading into the back half of the first semester arc.
