New battle with a full explanation of how it works. Must watch to understand how this fight will play out. Another conflict shows up and trust breaks down bit by bit. You could say more tension builds in this episode before it all drops in the next ep

Kei is such a cute character idk. She's someone that's not dumb, and you can tell from afar and the past seasons. She plays her cards well too, which makes her such an effective pawn HAHAHA

OHHH OMG so Ayanokoji is finally stepping into the scene and his classmates who have no idea about him being the mastermind to everything is baffling xD

The first scene was really intriguing, Kiyotaka looks more motivated than before. In contrast, Hirata is very all over the place

Slower pace in this episode methinks. Still dealing with the aftermath of everything but tension's back to building up again

Starting the episode with a bang 😭 poor Sakayanagi. At least we're finally seeing a more mastermind at play here. The new exam seems pretty interesting too

This episode felt like the calm before the storm, setting up something strong ahead. The special exam seems like it’s going to be brutal, and the buildup alone is already pretty intriguing.

The mystery behind Ayanokoji feels like it’s slowly unfolding, which is exciting. The episode had good tension overall, though a few scenes felt a bit like filler at times.

Some scenes felt a bit unnecessary, honestly. But aside from that, the episode clearly sets up something bigger. It builds intrigue and makes you curious about what’s coming next.

Hirata's switch up shall go down in history books, he had no reason to switch up, had it so good man. It's probably cause they need an excuse to vote out a classmate later on in some elimination exam like the previous one

Uhmm about that leadership role, why did Ayanokoji volunteer when he doesn't want to stand out. He could honestly just let Horikita take the blame and the leadership role because of that, and help her as an aide; since she's supposedly just his pawn and he doesn't care about her

okay, we do get an explaination on why Ayanokoji was saved, but. It still doesn't make any sense cause isn't he supposed to be Sakayanagi's opponent?? WIth him gone Class C probably won't rise as much, she should know this

A new person in charge really shifted the mood of the show. The animation makes the new exam rules very intense. It is exciting to see Ayanokoji and Horikita start planning their moves.

Though the catch is there from the upcoming exam, it looks that this episode is just good, in a sense that, nothing really happens. Maybe it's a way to invite more viewers with expectation.

This felt like the calm before a massive storm, but seeing Ayanokōji finally bag that Protection Point was so satisfying. I’m actually living for the rare soft moment where he gives Karuizawa a necklace! Tsukishiro showing up is bad news though; things are getting real. Watch it!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 9 of 13, this is a critical transition point — the fallout from episode 8's examination of past consequences feeds directly into the strategic groundwork being laid here for an upcoming special exam. The episode functions as the calm before the storm, escalating interpersonal tensions and positioning key players for the high-stakes confrontations that will define the season's final four episodes.
