Ayanokoji's Exam Fallout & Horikita's Cover
The classroom simmers with suspicion. Keisei Yukimura paces, demanding answers about Ayanokoji's impossible math score. Sudo Ken defends, while Yosuke Hirata tries to keep the peace, but the questions hang heavy. Later, Chiyabashira Sae wryly notes Ayanokoji has become a 'celebrity,' a status he clearly dislikes, setting the stage for what is to come. Just as Keisei presses Ayanokoji for the truth, Horikita Suzune steps in.
The Ayanokoji Group's Reassurance
Outside, the Ayanokoji Group gathers. Keisei admits his shock, but his trust in Ayanokoji's character holds firm, a testament to their established bond. Haruka Hasebe wisely calls for a reconciliation handshake, grounding their fractured trust. Akito Miyake and Airi Sakura join, solidifying their shared understanding. Even Ayanokoji participates, a rare glimpse of his human connection.
Rivalry at the Mall
At the Keyaki Mall, the façade of inter-class alliances crumbles. Kanzaki Ryuji confronts Ayanokoji, declaring the truce dead and Class D now an enemy. His frustration with Ichinose Honami's class's failures is palpable, a dangerous shift in the power dynamics. Ichinose herself tries to maintain her composure, but the pressure shows. After Kanzaki storms off, Ayanokoji warns Ichinose about her idealism, hinting at internal threats. He then makes an unprecedented promise: he will not let her be expelled, a statement that brings a blush to her face.
Sudo's Growth
The next morning, Ayanokoji walks to school with Sudo Ken. Sudo is remarkably changed, expressing sincere gratitude for Ayanokoji's help during the math incident. He speaks of self-improvement, wanting to protect the class not just with strength, but with academics. His humble request for Ayanokoji's continued guidance marks a true evolution. Their bond deepens, moving beyond mere utility.
Horikita's Ambition
On a balcony, Ayanokoji and Horikita Suzune discuss the bounty placed on his head, correctly identifying Nagumo Miyabi as the orchestrator. Horikita declares her intent to join the student council, not as a follower of her brother, but as a direct challenge to Nagumo's chaotic influence. She requests Ayanokoji's presence as she applies, a silent acknowledgment of his importance. Inside the council room, Nagumo accepts her, but not without testing her resolve alongside Kiriyama Ikuto. Nagumo then turns his attention to Ayanokoji, offering him a position, which Ayanokoji declines. Nagumo cryptically promises 'games' for the summer.
The Uninvited Guest
A quiet moment in Ayanokoji's dorm room with Karuizawa Kei is shattered. Karuizawa voices her frustration with his newfound fame, fearing the scrutiny on their hidden relationship. Just as intimacy sparks between them, a doorbell rings, a cruel interruption. Ayanokoji opens the door to Amasawa Ichika, a first-year student whose playful exterior barely masks a sharp, intrusive mind. Karuizawa scrambles to hide as Amasawa pushes her way inside, her eyes scanning for a rival, her demeanor shifting to cold calculation.
Amasawa's Revelation
Amasawa Ichika reveals her unsettling 'gift,' a box of condoms meant to provoke and confirm Karuizawa's hidden presence. She then drops a bombshell: she orchestrated the plot to expel Ayanokoji with Hosen, admitting her superior intellect allowed her to see through his counter-moves. The chilling reference to the White Room confirms her as a formidable, dangerous antagonist, deeply connected to Ayanokoji's mysterious past. She departs with a warning, a promise of future confrontations.
Island Survival Announcement
In the classroom, Chiyabashira Sae delivers the dramatic news. A luxurious cruise for summer vacation is announced, initially sparking joy and excitement among the students. This joy quickly turns to apprehension as Chiyabashira reveals the true purpose: a massive special exam. A projection of a desolate, uninhabited island appears, confirming their fate. The 'Uninhabited Island Survival' exam is declared, leaving the students facing a summer of grueling challenges.
