A great episode to close the series. The interactions between Maki and Umi are becoming increasingly adorable. Their relationship develops rapidly, so is their friendship with their classmates. Overall, this series is fun and interesting.

What a beautiful way to wrap up the series. I absolutely loved the scene under the sakura blossoms. It was such a beautiful, vivid scene. I really think the colors of the night sky enhanced Umi's beauty a lot, and that's coming from me, someone who has had a few nitpicks with the art style since the very beginning.

having the friend group show up definitely made this slightly better than the last weeknepisode bc they actually feel like real high schoolers. watching them eat just made me lowkey want a slice of chocolate cake too but overall it still feels like completely messy romance slop but at least the food looks good.

the continuous reliance on heavily exaggerated facial expressions and utterly shallow internal monologues severely damages the viewing experience. the core romantic dynamic reads entirely like highly unrealistic male fantasy rather than organic chemistry which alienates any audience searching for genuinely compelling writing.

Calling this garbage sweet is completely crazy bc no actual girl would ever watch this and think its peak romance. literally just pure INCEL IMAGINATION from start to finish. The main guy is such a massive loser and there are honestly just so many better romance shows out there that you could be watching. dont waste ur time guys

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off Episode 11's romantic New Year's milestone, this finale functions as a tender epilogue rather than a dramatic conclusion, the emotional groundwork has already been laid, and Episode 12 simply lets Maki and Umi settle into what they've built together. It marks the transition from winter into spring, signaling both a literal new season and a new chapter in their relationship. As the final episode of the series, it closes the first-year arc with reassuring completeness rather than a cliffhanger, leaving the couple in a stable, forward-looking place.
