This show is definitely a product of its time, with a fair amount of fanservice typical of 2015 and certain character relationships that can be frowned upon in today’s world, but even then, I’d say the anime still delivers a satisfactory episode, diving deeper into our main character backstory, introducing new characters and overall doing what most first arcs of any show does, setting up the foundation of the story.

Cerita berlanjut dimana pertandingan ikki dengan vermillion bikin geger sekolah dan memancing karakter lain yg bernama shizuya. Disini berusaha memprovokasi nya tetapi ikki tidak memperdulikan nya. Saya suka sifat MC disini yg tenang meskipun masih genre shounen, Studio Silver Link dan Nexus kembali menampilkan koreografi pertarungan yang rapi

This episode makes a hard turn away from the action to comedy territory. Well that is, if you don't mind the copious amount of fanservice involved and some disturbing implications about our main character's relarionship with his family. But nonetheless, the bickering was hilarious and entertaining, it makes the atmosphere lighter. The same cannot be said of the backstory of one of our main cast, which was a bit brutal, yet it explained well why the character dynamics are the way they are. So I guess we need to see next episode to see how this all blends in the story. At least for me, I'm sticking around to find out.
