Chivalry of a Failed Knight Episode 1: The Worst One I

Rakudai Kishi is quite an old anime already, being from 2015 and I remember watching it back then. Old animes has a tendency to be fairly nostalgic, and I got to say, this one is not exception to that. A classic story of a genius and an ordinary person, but what sets this a part from other stories with this trope is the relationship between the characters, one thing we can already start to see from the first episode alone. Coupled with some really good fighting scenes and a good opening song that survives the test of time, this episode is a really good start for the show.

You'd be surprise how well these old series are animated and voiced. They aged pretty well. There was so many series like that back then, seirei tsukai blade dance, mahouka koukou no reteisei, used to be overdone. But watching it now feels fresh hahaha

Awalnya saya kira ini anime supernatural biasa ya dengan plot cerita yg sangat mainstream tetapi setelah nonton terus ternyata daya tarik anime ini adalah plot zero can be hero yg sangat keren. Sang MC yaitu Ikki bertemu dengan heroine yaitu vermilion dan mereka melakukan duel karena suatu insiden hasilnya tidak sesuai yg ada di atas kertas!

A strong start for the series, the premiere is quick to establish the relationship between our main protagonist and the potential love interest. But really, what carried this episode was the fight scenes, it was flashy, fast, intense, and well animated. You can expect that this would just get better as the show goes on. There are bits of fanservice moments though, for those who are not into that, but pretty much the anime as whole knows exactly what it wants to be. So if you got immersed already, you'll be tuning in for more.
