The tension was high in this episode, but not because of the karuta battle. I have to give the MVP to Komano. He had so much growth during this series run, dare I say even as good as the main character. I like the team's dynamic too, everyone wants to win in their own way.

A bit of conflict within the Mizusawa team makes the start of the match with Shoyo High kinda awkward. But it ends on a really emotional team moment. The tension is not over yet and carries into the semifinals against a strong opponent. Really curious what’s next!
