Chainsaw Man Episode 11: Mission Start

Down a sterile prison corridor, Aki Hayakawa is led to a fortified cell. His escorts, Kurose and Tendo, speak of the Future Devil's cruel prices, lives shortened, senses stolen. Aki steps into the cell's black maw without a word, a silent, determined figure seeking power, no matter the cost.

The Future Devil emerges, a bizarre creature dancing and chanting of its dominion over time. It demands Aki place his head into its body, then cackles with glee at the grim fate it foresees for him. For a low price, it will reside in Aki's eye, witnessing his 'worst possible' end. Aki accepts without hesitation, stating, 'I don't care how I die, as long as I kill the ones I want to kill.'

Denji and Power lie battered, their daily training with Kishibe finally over. Kishibe, a man of few praises, grants them a rare 100 points, signaling their readiness. He announces their next mission, the hunt for Katana Man and Akane Sawatari. Denji's focus remains on the reward: his long-promised date with Makima.

Makima and Kishibe share a meal, but the atmosphere is thick with unspoken tension. Kishibe, ever the cynic, suggests Makima orchestrates events for her own mysterious ends. Makima maintains her serene façade, claiming only to desire human safety from devils. 'Liar,' Kishibe states, their alliance a fragile truce built on mutual, if suspicious, goals.

In a skyscraper, Katana Man and Akane Sawatari ready themselves, anticipating the Public Safety assault. Akane reveals their grim backup: a sprawling zombie army, born from the yakuza's debtors. Katana Man's hatred for Denji still burns, while Akane remains chillingly focused on retrieving Denji's heart. Outside, police gather, oblivious to the horror awaiting them.

In a car heading toward the mission, Kurose questions Aki's newfound confidence, reminding him of past struggles. Aki silences him, simply stating, 'Just watch.' He stares out the window, his isolation palpable, a man now defined by the terrible vision the Future Devil has bestowed upon him.

Makima confronts yakuza leaders, demanding names of Gun Devil affiliates. When one speaks of 'necessary evil,' Makima reveals a bag containing their family members' eyes, a brutal demonstration of leverage. As they attempt to retaliate, an unseen force makes them collapse, bleeding from every orifice. Makima delivers a chilling pronouncement on 'necessary evil,' asserting the state's absolute power and leaving them trembling in her wake.

The assault begins in the zombie-infested basement. Beam, the Shark Fiend, swims through concrete, a whirlwind of destruction. Galgali, the Violence Fiend, despite his name, offers polite apologies after accidentally striking a guard, his strength immense yet controlled by a mask. Princi, the Spider Devil, moves with terrifying grace, impaling foes with blade-like legs. Even the lazy Angel Devil uses his powers, though he warns Aki not to touch him, lest their life force be drained.

Aki moves through the building, encountering yakuza guards. His new power from the Future Devil allows him to dodge bullets before they are fired, his movements precise and deadly. He dispatches his foes with an unsettling efficiency, a marked change from his previous struggles. This new sight has transformed him into a weapon, cold and effective.

Makima walks alone through a sunlit forest, surrounded by bird song. Her expression is serene, tranquil, a stark contrast to the brutal fighting in the city. This brief, almost surreal moment suggests she is more than just an observer. Her quiet stroll implies a deeper connection to the unfolding violence, perhaps even a hand in its orchestration.

Aki finds Akane Sawatari waiting, who calmly warns him away. Aki draws his sword, ready for revenge. Akane summons the Ghost Devil, the very creature responsible for Himeno's death. Aki is shaken, facing a ghost from his past, a monster that knows his every move. The Ghost Devil, a tangle of hands, overwhelms Aki, pinning him against a wall, his sword falling from his grasp. The episode ends with Aki gasping for breath, his life in immediate peril.

The credits roll to the song 'Violence,' accompanied by stylized, high-contrast visuals. Characters are depicted in abstract settings, their internal struggles and the world's chaos laid bare.
